My whole life I have been curious about the dynamics of relationships.
Of particular interest, the role of sex and sexuality as it relates to balancing the needs of both the individual and the couple.
Now I’m working with people to see those needs are met.

No matter where you see yourself on the spectrum, from free love to committed monogamy, my work is dedicated to helping men and women find their path to happiness and a fulfilling sex life between the sheets.

My Story

My name is Denise and I’m a thirty-something, predominantly heterosexual woman living in San Francisco. A native to Northern California, I grew up in a liberal-minded, Catholic faith-based home. I am the only child to parents who remain married today after an astounding 45 plus years. After graduating college I moved to San Francisco to discover a world of dating that was complicated and daunting. I was not ready to meet someone, get married and settle for a life happily ever. Instead, I chose to navigate my love life down a different path, which has been one amazing and incredible adventure.

Inspired by my life experience, driven by my sense of curiosity about relationships and motivated by the role of sex in the world today, I turned my professional focus to becoming a relationship coach.

My Credentials

I graduated from Santa Clara University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, where my studies focused on how to influence an audience based on the psychology of relational verbal and non-verbal messaging. What I learned I applied to my passion working with individuals on their interpersonal communication. Following college, I spent the next 10+ years of my professional life in Human Resources at a large scale corporation, working with and coaching senior leaders and C-level executives to develop communication strategies.

Interested in pursuing a career outside of corporate America, I decided to explore something a little less traditional and started working congruently for a company called Pure Romance. As one of their consultants, I was trained as a sex educator and provided with ongoing, industry-leading product knowledge. I connected with hundreds of single and married men and women, providing them with information on sexual health benefits and sex education, while providing for sale sex toys, lubes, bondage and more.

Through this experience, I gained insight into people’s love lives in a way I didn’t know was possible. More importantly, I was making connections between their interpersonal communications strategies and how those influenced intimacy. Confident this was something I could help people with, I went in search of and found a formal training program. The Somatica Method is a holistic, loving and systematic approach to experiencing better sex and deeper relationships. Taught at the Somatica Institute in Berkeley in Ca, I enrolled and completed my Sex Coaching coursework and am trained to work with individuals and couples.

Today, I continue to learn from my own life lessons, the experience of my clients, fellow relationship coaches and therapists, inspiring authors, educational podcasts, everywhere and anywhere.
